Joe McCready playing at Solid Orange Live

The band and I are going to be playing at Solid Orange Live festival in Clemson the weekend of April 11th. We play the 12th, but the $35 ticket covers both friday and saturday, so you'll be seeing major artists all weekend...Wyclef Jean, Eddie Money, Rodney Atkins, and Colbie Caillat to name a few.

Girl Scout Cookies and Elvis candy

So on the way to Nashville I ate a whole sleeve of thin mints. The box says it has 9 servings and that a serving size is 4. I decided that those are just the suggested serving sizes for the girl scouts; not for me. I realized that I had ruined my dinner about 5 minutes after I finished the mints...and that it wasn't my best idea yet...however, I must say I'm slightly proud of myself. I back to the hotel from playing and got a drink and was going to get some snack out of a vending machine. They had Elvis Reese's Pieces. Yes...Elvis' face is on the front. And they are peanut butter and banana creme. I didn't realize they had banana in them till after I bought them. I ate them anyways, but it's not a really awesome combination. I don't even know how you would go about making banana creme, but I'm sure it's a gross process.

Get Simple Songs on Ruckus

SIMPLE SONGS ON RUCKUS
If you're at Clemson you should have gotten the e-mail that Clemson University now officially endorses Ruckus, which has had the Simple Songs album on it for some time now. Be sure to check it out if you're a student; whether here at Clemson or at any other school making Ruckus available to it's students.  I know UNC has had it for a while...Once again you can download Simple Songs on Ruckus....On The Way To Washington will eventually make its way on there, but some things take a little time.

Take Care & God Bless,

Nashville, Chi-town, Illinois in general, and then Kentucky.

I'm going to be doing a tour again on my spring break. I'm hoping out of class early on Friday to head to Nashville, and then booking it to Chicago for a Saturday night show. I hope to play a few open mic nights there before a show on Wednesday in Charleston, Illinois and another in Georgetown, KY on Friday. I really should be studying for a test right now. I'm gonna go do that.
